Klara M. Cockrell

Klara M. Cockrell is an associate attorney focusing her practice on general civil and family law matters. She is dedicated to guiding clients through legal challenges with a practical, approachable style, emphasizing empathy, clear communication, and effective advocacy.

Klara earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Advocacy, from Illinois Wesleyan University, graduating cum laude in 2022. She received her Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University Simmons Law School in 2025. During law school, she was actively involved in the Women’s Law Forum and participated in intramural moot court, developing strong advocacy and litigation skills.

Prior to her admission to the Missouri Bar in April 2026, Klara gained experience as a law clerk, working in criminal law, personal injury, and civil litigation. This background provides her with a well-rounded perspective in representing clients across a range of legal matters.

Originally from Dunlap, Illinois, Klara now resides in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where she is building her legal practice.

Outside of the office, Klara enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Joseph, and their Small Münsterländer pup, Hank.
